"Firies Forest" is inspired by a forest
I saw two years ago in Firies, Ireland.

The events of September 11, 2001
where still very much on my mind
when I painted "Lunaria" several years ago.
One of the old homes at the base of
"Scenic Hill" here in kent, Washington
inspired me to begin with.
I then used symbolism within the
painting to help express my feelings.
I used my three cats for my models here,
but the surreal scene is totally out of
my imagination.

The painting "Respite" is inspired by
an old home on Kent's Scenic Hill.
I worked for months on a traditional
painting of the home.
It never went together for me.
One day I made the decision to just
paint the home again and just have
fun with it!! I like the results.
